On March 27, Bloomberg New Energy Finance released its 2023 ranking of global wind turbine manufacturers by new installed capacity. The data shows that global wind power added 118 GW of capacity in 2023, marking a 36% increase from 2022. This includes 107 GW in onshore installations, up 37% year-over-year, and 11 GW in offshore installations, up 25%. The growth in global wind power installations in 2023 was largely driven by China's robust 77 GW of new installations, with DEC Wind contributing 6 GW to the new capacity, securing its place in the top ten.
Over the years, DEC Wind has achieved remarkable milestones through its strong technical expertise and market competitiveness. In 2019, the company led China’s wind power industry into the “double-digit” era. By 2023, its market share in onshore wind continued to grow steadily, while it ranked in the top two for offshore wind. Its H18000 and D18000 models were named among the world’s best offshore wind turbines. Additionally, DEC Wind has strengthened its focus on product R&D, leveraging its role as a source of original technology and advancing groundbreaking technological innovations. Its 18 MW offshore wind turbine was selected as one of the “Top Ten National Treasures of Central Enterprises.”
